We offer pregnancy testing services if you’ve missed a menstrual cycle or tested positive on a pregnancy test kit. As your body changes, we will make a plan to make changes to your daily routine, such as going to bed earlier or eating frequent, small meals and pre-natal vitamins.
Some new moms experience a more severe, long-lasting form of depression known as postpartum depression. Sometimes it's called peripartum depression because it can start during pregnancy and continue after childbirth. Rarely, an extreme mood disorder called postpartum psychosis also may develop after childbirth.
We give reproductive and sexual health services that include pelvic, pap smears, cancer screenings, and testing/treatment for vaginal infections.
Hypertension can be a complication during and after pregnancy. We can provide treatment plans and medications to help reach a healthy blood pressure level.
Gestational diabetes is a complication during pregnancy, and affects your pregnancy and your baby’s health. Unfortunately there is no way to prevent Gestational diabetes, but we can provide treatment plans to reduce your risk during future pregnancies and developing type 2 diabetes in the future.
Smoking during pregnancy can result in a preterm delivery. This is the leading cause of death, disability, and disease among newborns. Studies also show a relationship between smoking and miscarriage because the carbon monoxide in tobacco smoke can keep the developing baby from getting oxygen.
In order to give your baby nutrients that will promote growth and health, we can provide a nutrition plan to help give you the energy and nutrition to produce milk. Our healthcare provider may also recommend vitamin and mineral supplements.
Most women gain between 25-35 pounds during pregnancy. Most will gain up to 5 pounds in the first trimester, and 1 additional pound per week for the rest of the pregnancy. If you plan on breastfeeding, please refer to our healthcare provider for a nutrition plan as it will be difficult to produce milk if you lose weight too fast.
